1kg silver coin dragon
The 2024 St George & the Dragon 1kg silver coin, made of 999 fine silver.
The epic battle between Saint George and the Dragon has been a staple of mythology and of British coinage for hundreds of years. According to the story, the dragon initially demanded tribute from a village, when they ran out of livestock and valuables they began offering a human sacrifice each year. This arrangement was tolerable for the villagers until a princess was selected as the next offering. At this point Saint George intervened, rescuing the princess and slaying the dragon. 1kg silver coin dragon
