Our Best Value queen victoria veiled head gold sovereign coins featuring the third and final Victoria portrait, commonly referred to as the ‘Old Head’ or “Veiled Head”, as she is depicted as an elderly monarch. This portrait was used from 1893 to 1901.
The coin features the traditional depiction of St George slaying the dragon on the reverse, and an older Queen Victoria – dressed in her mourning outfit following the death of her husband, Prince Albert.
